Automatically assign a new MMSI. The NMID will automatically assign the next MMSI available in the selected category. This option should be used for reassignment of MMSIs which have remained deactivated for more than twelve (12) months.
Manually Assign MMSI:
Manually assign a new MMSI. The MMSI is entered manually by the user. Do not use this option to reassign MMSIs which have remained deactivated for more than twelve (12) months.
Reactivate MMSI (without changes):
Reactivate (or recall) a deactivated MMSI without changes. It is possible to reactivate a previously deactivated MMSI within the first twelve (12) months of deactivation.
Deactivate MMSI:
Deactivate (or cancel) an assigned MMSI. A MMSI can remain deactivated for a period of up to twelve (12) months. After that period, the MMSI is no longer considered to be deactivated and becomes available again for reassignment from the Assign MMSI option.
