Fields

Application Type
Indicates if the current record represents new information or modifications to Industry Canada's information about your existing systems. (Note that you cannot update this selection once you save the record.) When you first create the record, select Create New to specify information about a new station, or select Search and Modify to change information related to an existing authorized station. Each time you select Search and Modify, the Search ALS Authorized Mobile Stations page appears in a new window so that you can find and retrieve information about your authorized fixed stations.
Licence Number
Licence number of a single licence for an authorized station. Applies to modified stations only (blank for new stations). The value is set automatically after you select a station to be modified.
Last Edited
Date generated by the system when the associated record was most recently saved.
Area of Operation
Geographical name (city or town and province) of station's area of operation.
Number of Mobile Stations
Number of equivalent mobile stations represented by this record. Each individual station must share identical characteristics. Must be between 1 and 5000.
Coordinate Format
Indicates system used for coordinates entered. (NAD 83 coordinates are converted to NAD 27 coordinates when transferred to our licensing database.)
Latitude of the Centre of Operations (ddmmss)
Latitude North of the centre of mobile station's area of operation. Must be between 400000 and 900000.
Longitude of the Centre of Operations (dddmmss)
Longitude West of the centre of mobile station's area of operation. Must be between 500000 and 1450000.
Radius of Operation (km)
Radius of operation of the mobile station in km. The radius centre is given in the Latitude and Longitude fields.
Industry Canada Licence Appendices
Names the region and purpose of a standard licence appendix for this station. To simplify the mobile station licensing process in certain regions, Industry Canada can authorize a standard complement of frequencies as listed on an Industry Canada licence appendix. Select the applicable appendix(es) (up to three) from the drop-down lists. This information replaces a standard frequency form in your application, but you may also attach a frequency form to the station if needed.
