Why do the radio frequency search tools limit the records returned to 2,000?

Despite advances in the Internet, speed of access to information is still a concern. The Department made the decision to limit the search results to 2,000 records because returning a larger number of records takes a lot of processing power, and a significant amount of time (affecting not only your time while waiting for the results, but the time of others waiting to use the same service). If your search will result in more than 2,000 records, none are returned. If you require broader information, download the complete TAFL list.
