Before the system submits the application, it reviews the components of your application for certain errors and possible mistakes. An error will prevent you from submitting the application. A warning does not prevent submission, but draws your attention to a possible mistake.
You can validate the current state of your application at any time using the Validate and Submit Application link on the Application Summary. The error and warning messages may help you to understand the required components of your application.
NOTE: The validation process will check for obvious mistakes and missing components. It will not find most typographical or value errors within the information provided. You should always review your data manually before submitting.
To validate and submit your application:
After submitting your application, you will no longer be able to update any of its components. If you require any immediate changes before the application is processed, it is possible to "unsubmit" the application using a link on the Application Navigator. After making your changes, use the use the Validate and Submit Application link to resubmit your application.
It is not possible to make changes after the application has been retrieved by Industry Canada for processing.
