Fields

Your Reference Number
A reference number for the application as selected by the applicant for internal tracking purposes, and entered on the Covering Letter.

Subject
The title of the project for which the application is being made.

Processing Office
The Industry Canada office responsible for processing the application.

Company Code
Numeric identifier of the licencee or account.

Account Information
After you create and save your covering letter, shows much of your account information as stored in the Assignment and Licensing System (ALS) database for the company code and processing office that you selected when you created the covering letter. If you notice where we should update our records, please contact your district office. (This information does not form part of your application.)

Application Type
Indicates if the present application is a Letter of Intent only, or a covering letter with detailed technical information on stations and frequencies.

Last Edited
The date that this record was last modified and saved.

Purpose of the Proposed System
A summarized description of the needs to be served by the creation of the new facilities.

Traffic Type
Types and volume of traffic that will be carried by the new system.

In-service Date
The estimated in-service date for the system.

Reason for Choosing Frequency Band
The reason for selecting the proposed frequency band.

Non-conformity
An explanation as to why the application does not conform to applicable Departmental documents, including RP, SP, SRSP, and RSS.

Initial Traffic
The initial and final loading per RF channel (measured in voice channels, bit rate, or other appropriate units).

Projected Growth (Bit Rate)
The projected growth per RF channel (measured in voice channels, bit rate, or other appropriate unit).

Number of RF Channels
The number of RF channels initially required.

Projected Growth (RF Channels)
The projected growth in the number of RF channels over at least a five-year period.

Geographical Stations
On a Letter of Intent only, a list of the locations of proposed station sites and licence numbers of existing stations involved in this project.

Frequency Bands
The frequency band employed, as spoecified in the Standard Radio System Plans (SRSP).

Required Bandwidth
The required bandwidth for each RF channel, in MHz.

Type of Modulation
The method used to modulate the carrier with the baseband signal, as specified by the radio manufacturer.

Other Information
Names of other information supporting the proposal, including system plans, business plans, marketing plans, etc.

Person Authorizing Submission
The name of the person authorizing the submission of the Letter of Intent or application.

E-mail Address
The e-mail address of the person authorizing the submission of this information.
